Is ACSI camping card worth it? ›

If you're planning to travel in the low seasons, then absolutely the ACSI card is worth purchasing. What is this? You only need to stay a couple of nights at a campsite in the UK or Europe and you'll have saved the cost of the book and app with the Campingcard ACSI discount of up to 60% per night.

You will be paying the affordable CampingCard ACSI rate of only €13, €15, €17, €19, €21 or €23. * If you are paying upon departure, show your discount card to reception again before settling your bill.

The ACSI Campsites Europe app allows you to find a suitable campsite or motorhome pitch in Europe quickly and easily. The app gives you access to 9,300 campsites inspected by ACSI and 9,000 motorhome pitches that have been checked.

With a subscription you will receive the latest version of the CampingCard ACSI guide and discount card before Christmas each year. Always pay one of the six fixed low-cost nightly rates. 3,000 participating campsites, inspected every year.

ACSI stands for Auto Camper Service International. It is a Dutch company that was founded by Ed Van Reine in 1965.

ACSI Club ID is a Camping Carnet.

It is a replacement identification document, accepted at almost 8200 campsites. ACSI Club ID does not entitle you to a discount on the overnight stay price of a campsite.

Downloading the app is free, but in order to use the campsite information (or the campsite and motorhome pitch information) in the app, you must first purchase access. To purchase this access, you need a unique purchase code. This code can be found on the back of your CampingCard ACSI discount card.

Camping Cheques

Since 1st November 2018, it has not been possible to top up a Camping Cheque card or to extend membership. According to the 'Camping Travel Club' website, any credit already on a card should still be valid until 31st December 2019.

The ACSI Card is obtained by purchasing the ACSI guide, which can be purchased online, at our campsite (check stock) and, new for 2024, via the mobile app. The CampingCard, as the card is called, comes in the guidebook itself to be used as a card immediately.

ACSI is a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit organization.

There is no right or specific age to when you can start taking your children camping. If you feel ready to take them and all their baby supplies along, then kids as young as 2-3 months can go camping. Whether you have a baby, a toddler, or a preschooler, the sooner you start camping with them, the better.

The reason that RV campsites are more expensive is because they typically come with more amenities, such as water and electrical hookups, dump station access, and more. They also have to be bigger than tent campsites to accommodate the size of the RV.

A Certificated Site, or CS as we refer to them, are small, privately run campsites that can accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes, and 10 tents. They are for use by members of our Club, although you can join non-members on site and earn commission for doing so.

A CL site is a Motorhome and Caravan Club (previously known as The Caravan Club) 'Certified Location' (CL) campsite. What this means is that the campsite is privately ran site by a Farm/Landowner, however, as it meets certain standards of the Club it's 'recognised' and therefore able to advertise as such.
